e are books I ought to write because your need to know something that I know and tell you what it's like to be me. Almost like I have an obligation to share my humanity with you. You may hate me but possibly you might realize that you feel these same fears, cry these same tears, think these same thoughts.
But the bigger problem for me with this question is that my feelings about obligation writing and creating with words is more of a burden because there are others that write much better than I so why can't I just write a beautiful story that no one has ever read with a plot that no one has ever thought of? A long difficult novel, with words that flow and fit together to create an artful masterpiece.
As Iâve gotten older Iâve developed a strong sense of my own changeability, the way my moods and feelings and desires are constantly in flux, so I have more and more trouble settling on what my actual opinions are. Ask me a question and the answer youâll get kind of depends on when you ask. I donât mind feeling this way, really; itâs just a little inconvenient at times. I never know what Iâm going to want to write tomorrow, or even an hour from now.".
